Movember is finished
The mighty movember ritual in with men let their mighly manliness out and could grow facial hair for an entire month and not get told off by the missus is now finished. As reported here .
Brace yourself, men - Movember is no more.
The Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand has announced today it will no longer be involved in ‘Movember' fund raising campaigns after a falling out with its Australian organisers. The fundraising phenomenon, which saw men nationwide grow a moustache during the month of November to raise money for the disease, raised $2 million last year and nearly $3 million over its two year run.
The Foundation said demands by the Australian based ‘Movember' fund raising organisation, which sought to approve how and when donations could be spent in New Zealand were "not acceptable".
"We had a number of discussions with Movember about this but were told that unless we spent the money in a time frame approved by them, and on projects approved by them, then we would not be the beneficiary of any further Movember campaigns in New Zealand," said Prostate Cancer Foundation president Barry Young.
"We found such a demand untenable."
Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer among males and kills more than 550 men a year in New Zealand.
"Movember proved to be an absolutely brilliant way to raise both money and the profile of prostate cancer, and we thank everyone who participated."
Mr Young said it was unlikely that the dispute could be resolved. "People need to know we're disappointed, but there's a principle at stake."
This is a sad day in man kingdom and our balls are on the line. what say you

EEE 900 VS 901 what’s the difference
So any times I see news about the eee 900 and occasionally news about the 901 but what’s is the big deal about a 1. Well a little hunting has revealed that despite looking the same the 901 features an Intel Atom Diamondville CPU clocked at 1.6GHz instead of the 900 MHz Intel Celeron-M. The other notable change is you’re getting a 6 cell 6600 mAh battery reportedly giving you about 4 hours battery life. The 900 only packs a 4 cell 5800 mAh battery giving a 2.5 hour run time. So the now your equipped with this little bit of knowledge go out and buy one
The Digg secret sauce
So many times people mange to construct perfect post’s that get to the front page of digg generating themselves a tidal wave traffic. A lot of the time the same story had been submitted earlier and never generated enough buzz to hit the front page so what make this time different.
- The title. People skim over the titles , you have between 6 -8 words get the punters interest. If you get them nibbling from the title you need to hook them with the description.
- Descriptions. Get to the point but don’t giveaway the whole story , let them lead into the story not summarize it.
- Pictures. There is a reason they say a picture is worth a thousand words and because most people are too lazy to read a thousand words and well placed pic can be very profitable.
- Timing. A popular article causes a fair bit of interest but if you are crafty enough and have good timing you can target posts to pick up on this buzz and score yourself a few hits.
Now all this leaves is content I cant tell you how to make the best content. Google it!
